According to Garcia y Garcia, in 1943 the internal unexcavated area between VII.16. A and B (20 and 21) along the Vicolo del Farmacista was hit by a bomb.
It fell on the soil not yet excavated and demolished the perimeter wall for a length of 4m x 3m and a part of the escarpment in two areas for 8 metres.
