According to Boyce, above the hearth was a badly preserved lararium painting. The Genius was represented sacrificing at an altar. On each side stood a Lar, but only the one on the right was preserved. Further to the right a serpent approached an altar. The description was from Sogliano published in 1879. Reports in periodicals published in 1894 and 1896 mention only an altar as being visible in a painting. Today, nothing remains.
