The central aedicula of the west wall was above a black zoccolo and contained a landscape painting on a black background (see Maiuri NS 1929, p.413) which is now unrecognisable. The side panels of all the wall were red and showed metallic pots/vases given to the prize winners of athletic games. Photo courtesy of Rick Bauer.

The central aedicula of the west wall was above a black zoccolo and contained a landscape painting on a black background (see Maiuri NS 1929, p.413).

Silver found against west wall of atrium of I.6.11. 
At the edges are two goblets each in the form of a chalice.
At the centre are two bowls (ciotole) with the upper part with high edges decorated with concentric circles parallel to the rim.
Below this is a lip with an undulating ribbon pattern which separates the upper and lower parts .
